Year is 2412. Sudden anomalies are discovered in the Sun - looks like artificial in origin.
Humans scramble to construct semi-sentient nano- assembled evolving "Sundiver" (TM) - a biomachine to go and dive into the upper layers of the Sun.
It is guided by human assisted AIs in the orbit near the Mercury as no organic matter could survive magnetic fields of millions of Teslas.
If he gets a chance - the Sundiver will attack.
